Starting this fall, seventh graders in all public and private schools in Rhode Island will not be allowed to attend school unless they get the HPV vaccine.
Tricia Washburn , chief of the office of immunization of the Rhode island department of health said that HPV is the most sexually transmitted disease in the United States and feels that the vaccination should not be treated any differently than any other vaccine.
A nonprofit organization (the Kaiser family Foundation) focusing on National Health issues, said that their more than 14 million new infections yearly.
