Arizona is one of nine states receiving a grant, funded by the Office of Rehabilitative Service and Special Education.
The Arizona Department of Education has been awarded a $1 million grant to recruit and retention of highly qualified special education teachers; training in how to provide students with disabilities access to the general education curriculum; teacher coaching and mentoring; comprehensive online professional development; and training in increasing reading achievement for students with specific learning disabilities
