IT'S FINALLY HERE - Mathematics University

A NEW LOOK AND SOON TO BE UPDATED WEB SITES AND LINKS!!!

4 years ago, I created a website called everydaymath.org . The intention was to create a website that could be used for information sharing about Everyday Mathematics. I intended on maybe 100 people a month finding me in cyberspace.

3 years later, the site has been found by many schools and districts and the outcome is 2,000,000 hits a year. I am still astounded as to how popular the site has become. I needed to give it a facelift, but never had the time.

I worked for Everyday Mathematics for 5 years and have now started up my own training company called Mathematics University. My mathematical trainings are not only specific to Everyday Mathematics, but also to all types of textbooks, regardless of what was adopted. I believe that many schools can use the basic methodology behind Everyday Mathematics, but still use a traditional series if they feel the school or district may not be ready for such a quick paradigm shift.

As I went from school to school, I realized that my background of teaching all grades K-8 gave me a vast knowledge of where the kids need to be mathematically. I also realized that I was able to troubleshoot most conceptual problems that were tossed at me by the teachers I had the pleasure of working with side by side.

The outcome is MATHEMATICS UNIVERSITY......a big jump for me.....a bright future for you and your students !!
